Details

React is a popular frontend JavaScript framework. Companies like Facebook, Airbnb, Netflix, Paypal, and Dropbox use React to power their blazing-fast, high-traffic websites. React stands out because of its speed, flexibility, and ease of development.

Not only is React fast, it's popular because it encourages declarative programming by making heavy use of components. Since React makes no assumptions about the rest of your technology stack, it's easy to try it out on a small feature in an existing project.

This series will introduce you to React through hands-on exercises and give you the skills needed to integrate it into your own project.

DATES

This class takes place over two consecutive Tuesday evenings, as follows:

Tuesday, December 6th - 6:30pm to 9:30pm

Tuesday, December 13th - 6:30pm to 9:30pm

Your payment registers you for the entire series.

TAKEAWAYS

• Learn when React makes sense to use in a JavaScript project

• Learn how React works and what sets it apart from other JavaScript frameworks through hands-on coding exercises

• Start using the latest and greatest version of JavaScript, ES6 (ECMAScript 6, aka ES2015)

• Build your own React projects
