At the December Code & Coffee, we'll be joined by Jen Weber who will show you what it takes to contribute to open source and how to do your first PR. You don't need to be an expert - in fact, your biggest challenges may be those you have set in front of yourself!
Jen Weber made her first open source contribution after she asked for help and was surprised to find it. Now she is a member of the EmberJS learning team. Jen works as a developer at BioBright, building applications that advance scientific research.
General Description of our Code and Coffee Events:
Code & Coffee is a monthly opportunity for you to practice your skills, meet new friends, and get help if you need it. Bring your laptop, your recent projects, and your programming problems!
All are welcome regardless of gender or skill level, whether or not you've attended past Girl Develop It events. If you're a beginner, we'll be right there to help you work through your questions as needed.
Code & Coffee events are relaxed and informal, and are intended as a way for our community to work and play together while providing each other with ongoing support and feedback.
Feel free to come early, stay late, and/or drop in whenever you can. We can't wait to see you!
