What we're about

Girl Develop It Camden County is the region’s chapter of the leading national 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides affordable and accessible programs to women who want to learn software development through hands-on instruction. As part of a network of 50+ cities across the U.S. and 70,000 members, GDICC is helping lead the nationwide movement to provide women with avenues to participate in the technology industry today

Want to learn how to code? Have a great idea? Don't be shy. Develop it.

It can be intimidating for women to learn and ask questions when they are in an extreme minority. While open and welcoming, today's budding developer community is up to 91% male. There isn't a comfortable place where women can learn at their own pace and not be afraid to ask "stupid questions."

We decided it was time to provide a place where all questions are OK and everyone can learn in a supportive environment. Our courses focus on coding, leveraging existing technology, and having something to show for it like building websites and mobile apps.

If you'd like to teach for us, TA a class, or sponsor our events and students, please send us a message.

Stay tuned for our upcoming events!

Note: While we focus our mission and messaging to women, we're women inclusive, not women-only.
