WordCamp US Meetup

WordCamp US is in Philadelphia this year. This is a great opportunity for hearing great speakers, networking and learning. If you are planning on attending or would like to meetup during the event, RSVP here so we know who is planning on attending. If you are interested in attending, you must purchase a (very affordable) $40 ticket: https://2016.us.wordcamp.org/tickets/. We will be trying to meetup with WordPress South Jersey Meetup too!

A bit about WordCamp:
WordCamps are low-cost events, usually held on a weekend, where WordPress enthusiasts and more gather to learn to get the most out of WordPress. Community-organized, they offer something for everyone, from blogging newbies to professional developers, from marketing professionals to experienced designers, from tech enthusiasts to leading technologists. Most importantly, they provide a welcoming, engaging and safe space for WordPress users to get to know one another.

WordCamp San Francisco was the first-ever WordCamp, organized by WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg in 2006. Over time, it grew into the official annual WordPress conference with over 30 speakers and 1500+ attendees converging from all over the world. Along with sessions by leaders in the WordPress community, it featured The State of the Word address, where Matt talks about upcoming WordPress developments and answers questions from the audience.

In 2015, WordCamp US was announced, with Philadelphia, PA as the host city. Philadelphia will host the conference for two years, before it moves onto another city in the USA.

Dear Wordcampers, I came down with a horrible flu on Friday. Still hunkered down at home not wanting to bring a contagion to the conference... Please accept my apologies for not attending.

I'm going to be taking PATCO around 9 so I don't miss the SEO talk. Anyone else have a plan of when they are heading in? You can always message me here or on twitter @karmastic

Alright, WordCamp is almost here! Sorry for being late to reaching out -- My husband is gone and our twins are sick. But he'll be back Friday night and I'll have all day to spend at WordCamp on Saturday. Anyone check out the schedule and have a talk they are really wanting to attend? https://2016.us.wordcamp.org/files/2016/11/PDF_schedule_WCUS.pdf
