• Organizing files with layers and layer groups
• Basic techniques for working with photos and graphics
Heather is a graphic designer who transitioned into web development. As a frontend developer she finds great satisfaction in bringing design concepts to life via writing beautiful, clean, responsive, and accessible code.
Her background includes 10 years of design experience where she lived in Photoshop on a daily basis creating print, branding, social media, and web graphics for non-profit organizations, small businesses and local government entities.
See Heather’s portfolio of design work (http://heathercancode.com) and read about her journey from designer to developer (https://seesparkbox.com/foundry/designer_to_developer).
At this time, you will need to provide your own laptop - PC or Mac - to participate in the course. Note: A netbook or tablet is NOT a substitute.
Required Software: Photoshop. With a free Creative Cloud membership, you can download a **7-day trial version** of Photoshop (https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/photoshop) - just make sure you've downloaded (and preferably opened) Photoshop prior to the class so you're certain it's fully installed and working on your computer.
