Have you ever wanted to know what the World Wide Web is?

Where are web site files generally stored?

What is the difference between a client and a server?

This two-hour workshop covers the fundamentals of web development in layman terms. This is a no-code workshop.

It covers basic concepts like the difference between a client and a server, the difference between backend and front end code, the tools needed to develop a website, and the typical web development team. This class is for people with little to no technical experience.

This class is intended for beginners and no coding experience is required!

What to Bring:

Anything you like to takes notes on. Pen & paper, Laptop, up to you!

Instructor:

Instructor: Catherine Zarra works as a Platform Engineer at Upserve in Providence. Since moving to Rhode Island, she has become passionate about involving women in technology. As a chapter leader and instructor, Catherine is excited to show the ladies of Providence that software development can be fun, rewarding and a great career choice.
