This two-hour Drupal workshop will be held on March 16. Class will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
We're bringing you an introductory workshop on Drupal! Drupal is the platform behind some huge websites, including whitehouse.gov, economist.com, and more. This session will give you an overview of what Drupal is and what makes it such a unique and powerful tool. This is a great class for people who collaborate with Drupallers or who are considering whether or not to use Drupal for an upcoming project. This class will help prepare anyone who is interested in taking a full Drupal workshop with GDI later this year.
Your Teacher: Ruby Sinreich
Ruby Sinreich is a web developer who also specializes in strategies that connect people to each other. Her favorite tools for weaving communities are Drupal, social media, and unconferences. She has been helping others use the Internet since teaching workshops about e-mail (no kidding) and HTML in the 1990's, and is thrilled to continue the tradition with Girl Develop It!
Refund Policy: Your payment of $20 guarantees your seat in the entire course. Please note that we cannot issue refunds, because there's an overhead to issuing refunds via Meetup.com and we already offer the workshops at such a low cost. We put proceeds into the chapter fund, which we use as our scholarship fund.
Other Disclaimers: Our program and curriculum are geared toward adults over the age of 18; at this time we do not accept minors as students in our courses and workshops.
