    Girl Develop It, and Tech Toledo invites all information technology professionals to join us on December 8th for the 6th Annual Geek Dinner Holiday Mixer. This is the largest social gathering of IT professionals in the Toledo region. What: Tech Toledo Geek Dinner Holiday Mixer When: December 8, 5:30pm – 8pm Where: The Blarney Event Center, 601 Monroe Street, Toledo, Oh 43604 FREE to attend! RSVP at Eventbrite. Members of regional IT groups will be in attendance, holding their annual end-of-year Geek Dinners with us. Attendees are responsible for paying for their own drinks and food. At the mixer, you can meet colleagues, learn about each group, get a recap of what happened in 2016, and start to plan for 2017.   • Intro to WordPress - Build websites fast! No coding skills required!

    With 20% of the web running on WordPress, it's no surprise that we're WordPress fans! Join Girl Develop It for an introductory look into all things WordPress. We will show you the basics of creating a WordPress website, then customizing it to fit your needs. We'll learn about Themes, Plugins and Widgets and how to spot a good or bad one. We will publish posts and learn about the types of content we can publish. Most importantly, our instructors and TA's will be here to answer any questions you may have along the way. You'll leave with an understanding of the basics and an ability to publish your own WordPress site. Note: You do not need to have an existing WordPress site in order to attend.
