What we're about
GirlTrek is the largest health organization for Black women and girls in America. We walk to heal our bodies, inspire our daughters and reclaim the streets of our neighborhoods.
Why? We are dying too young, too fast and nobody is talking about it! WE WON'T SIT ON THE SIDELINES! Nope.
What can you do to organize!?
Organizing with GirlTrek is easy!
There are three easy ways.
We call them the 3Ss:
1. SOLIDARITY: Represent this movement in the streets! If you don’t have an official GirlTrek shirt, check out our store: https://shop.girltrek.org/ (https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fshop.girltrek.org%2F&h=ATMTwr4ng3jEuzQRWrPSPLsup4qYDvC28sFI-OcyobTeAsCRZuXA-jGyzrizt4jemFKZ8Cigx-HtNcDY8F68-bYP6HVvy0-GOZNLLIeo5rgmrdLSRIa9Vdm22lMF9N_Ta7TVAXiBVKOfofaHB49SA08biF1tTYIv8mGaZwJydel51s0XxwYtfOnX-NmcSZkoH2Xds1Kafnfcv3wHou9JCtlFm0Hq4hHjdtgV5sLkc_FVHbeBJnKpMC45TqBIrVLzOYk)
The easiest way to advance the GirlTrek mission is to represent that “Superhero Blue!” everywhere! You are an official organizer now!
2. SISTERHOOD: Many organizers host walks every Saturday morning. We call it “Superhero Saturday!” If you need help hosting your first walk, call us and we will get you going! Dial 1-855-GRL-TREK. You can also get organizer tools, inspiration and everything you need here: http://www.girltrek.org/toolkit (https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.girltrek.org%2Ftoolkit&h=ATNXH9w2wL1GsBJHr8zGysi47X93UEFzXGxwjjsJR1ZtLkXZ-QmTr6rBIoEYOneNbgqgV-HMCsLl-UQ1DnQFPhoIOfFa3KqWdqD0d5EwudeLrPiy76QyQUO5vTJHvZpY8tK7lo82bcZ9Bgc8fwHJW0S_e386EgU8L4e8zSOI6ZJEMZMSL4loNo5XuDa0YYcG5vtRusmTtdxSKFHFVGO252UsfjCNdNFnSIcpvP79RCWQzCeZ1tnbA5Cn6xwLX4g9p6597YT4vQ)
No need to wait or get approval - this is your movement!
3. SAVING LIVES: If you are just getting started on your personal health journey, we got you!! We have to save our own lives first! (Harriet Tubman taught us that!) This is the hardest thing to do! To get started – before you help anyone else – earn your free “golden shoelaces” by completing GirlTrek’s 30-Day Walking Challenge (https://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/girlt...
