Girlfriends Having Fun and Getting Social is a group intended for women who want to connect with other women in the National Capital Region to socialize, have fun and make new friends. Here you will find awesome opportunities to discover our city, kick back, attend a variety of events or activities, and maybe even make a new friend or two. Other than being a woman, there is no pre-selection process, no lengthy applications to fill out and no pre-approval to join. Whether you're single or married, a stay-at-home mom, a working gal or retired; whether you’ve lived in the NCR for years or you’re new to the city -- if you're interested in being socially active, building a social network, meeting new people and having fun in a comfortable, safe and friendly environment, then you've come to the right place. Girlfriends Having Fun and Getting Social will offer a variety of events and activities that will appeal to everyone. Plus, if there’s something you always wanted to try but didn’t want to do it alone, make a suggestion, you’re probably not the only one that wants to try it.
Our activities will include, but not be limited to:
• Day trips • Girls’ weekends • Exploring our City/Region • Pub nights/Happy Hour • Museum • Theatre • Walking/hiking • Golf • Fitness • Festivals • Movies • Karaoke • Dancing • Wine and Cheese and Potlucks • Dining out (breakfast, lunch or dinner) • Outdoor activities • Cocktails/coffee and conversations • Pampering • Fun stuff you’ve always wanted to try (ax throwing perhaps) • Game nights • Volunteering/Charitable events • Other, as suggested by our members
So what are you waiting for? Sign up, check out our activities, attend some events and start making some lasting relationships!!!
Please note that there is a $5.00 yearly fee to be part of the group.
We look forward to meeting you!!
