If you're anything like me working out alone is a struggle! This group is for reasonably fit women 20's-40's who want to regularly work out but need a buddy to get them get motivated & out of the house! We'll meet for Gym sessions at Planet Fitness, take Yoga, Zumba and other fitness classes around the Springfield/Hartford area and when it gets warmer we'll definitely do some walking/hiking/biking. I prefer outdoor exercise as a first choice whenever possible!
The goal is to motivate each other to make regular exercise a part of our daily routine. So there will be a lot of weekday work outs scheduled before/after work time. Suggestions of classes and places to walk/hike will be welcome! And once we get going I may be looking for co-organizers to help keep the group active with meetups several times a week since we are all bound to have different schedules. For now locations will generally be along the 91 corridor between Northampton and West Hartford CT. on weekdays and more around Northampton/Hadley on the weekends. I'm seeing people join from all over but I will mainly be scheduling events along that area which is my span of travel between work and home. If anyone lives in a different area and wants to volunteer as a co-organizer for their area please let me know! :-)
For now I'm making this a ladies only club to keep the focus on exercise and avoid any issues. Sorry fellas! Please also note I will only approve members who have a profile photo with their face clearly visible. I want to see who I will be meeting. I may also limit membership if the group starts to get too large, and I will mainly be looking for members with similar goals so if I do not accept you please don't take it personally.
