- Do you know what makes DevOps great? Get familiar with Continuous Deployment!
Continuous Deployment is a way of organizing work that’s getting increasingly popular. It’s how small startups, bigger companies and even IT departments of governmental organizations manage to work fast and adjust to ever changing user needs. Continuous Deployment is a set of practices that enables an automated, quick and seamless deployment to production of any code commit that passes tests in a production-like environment. These practices can include using tools that make it easier to test your application or that increase its visibility. But for Continuous Deployment to work, you also need to have a healthy work culture, where making mistakes is accepted as part of everyday work. Come to a talk by Bendik Wang Andreassen (Infrastructure Developer/Space Lead at FINN.no) and Marta Paciorkowska (Infrastructure Developer at FINN.no) to learn more about the theory and practice of Continuous Deployment! Agenda: 17:30 Food and mingling 17:50 Introduction 18:00 Marta & Bendik presentation - Continous Deployment 19:00 Q&A The meeting is open to everyone and you don't need any computer! If you don't know what Continuous Deployment is, come and learn with us.
