FREE Touch Rugby Beginners Training Session (New Female Attendees Only)

*Due to current numbers unfortunately membership is closed to new male players. Check back with us in 2017 for updates on this! New female players are still very welcome!*

Due to demand we have recently announced a new structure for our Saturday training to include a more regular separate beginners session. From Saturday 1st October training will be organized in the following manner:-

10 – 11am – Touch Basics Beginners Session

The first hour of our Saturday sessions will comprise of ‘touch basics’. This is aimed at completely new players, beginners and those looking to build on or refresh their skills. It will be in the format of a warm up, warm up game and working on techniques such as initiating the touch, three’s and some passing and catching drills.

Although we are closed to new male members our beginners sessions are mixed with some of our beginner male players still involved.

11 - 1pm Advanced Touch

If you want to hang around and meet the rest of our team our 'Advanced' session will start at 11am and will run until 1pm. At the end of the 'Advanced' session there will be a full 30/40 minute game which will allow you to see touch being played if you are keen to watch a game.

Please note that due to health and safety reasons everyone who takes part in training must do so wearing plastic moulded studded boots. Trainers and metal studs are not allowed and you will not be allowed to take part in the session if you wear these. We have a small amount of spare boots which you can borrow but please get in touch to check if we have your size!

Be aware that training sessions are weather dependant. To make sure the session is going ahead you can find up to date information on Twitter @Centuriontouch (you can see our twitter feed on the bottom right of our website) and on our Facebook page. If there has been any particularly poor weather such as heavy rain, continual rain, frost or snow please check on the morning of the event to make sure it is going ahead. If the session has to be cancelled we aim to let attendees know via Facebook and Twitter at least 45/30mins.

Please get in touch if you would like further information. You can find out more about the club on our website at:-
