Hi and welcome to our awesome touch rugby group! You've come at the right time; we're in the throes of pre-season training for the 2019 League. We cater for all experience levels from beginner right through to Scottish internationalist. If this is your first time, please feel at home; we have a number of brand new players looking to develop their skills alongside you!

We train every Sunday at Glasgow Green from 10:30-12:00. When the clocks go forward an hour, we'll re-start Tuesday afternoon trainings again but until then, it's once a week and indoor touch league on Thursday evenings (please ask for more info if you're interested in this).

Google coordinates are more accurate than the map above, which doesn't let us select the exact venue! Please be at the following coordinates (copy-paste them into google maps):
[masked], [masked]

You’re allowed to park in the Green itself as a visitor, so we recommend doing that (on Templeton St), though we usually go to West Bar & Brewery after for a 'recovery drink' so you can park beside the pub too.

Training sessions typically start with quick gab and a warm up, before we move into some basic ball-handling drills. The session thereafter depends on the membership that day and looks at developing all levels of players; beginners will be taught the rules of the game alongside gaining valuable practical game experience. We usually finish with a wee game.

There are usually between 10-14 of us at training regularly. Most of the regular players RSVP on our secret Facebook teamzone, so please don’t be put off by the seemingly non-existent RSVPs here on meetup! If you’re keen and want to join us on our quest of glory and sign up for the team, we’d be delighted; we’ll add you to the teamzone and you can meet the rest of the non-meetup flock!

Please feel free to ask any questions. For training, we’d recommend boots with moulded studs. If it’s dry, trainers are okay; it’s too slippery otherwise.

Ok, I look forward to hopefully seeing you and I’m sure the rest of the team will be excited to have a new face come along too! Please feel free to bring friends who may also be interested; the more the merrier!

Kind regards,

David, Elisa & the rest of the chooks!
