ABOUT THE PANELISTS:
Alex Maleki brings experience in sales, marketing, and law into his role as Vice President of Business Development for Idealab where he helps lead efforts on fundraising and recruiting, provides strategic guidance to entrepreneurs, and tests new ideas that can be turned into successful companies. Prior to joining in 2008, Alex held senior roles for two venture-backed startups focused on enterprise software and services (Net Effect, Mobile Automation), both of which were successfully acquired. He holds a BA from UCSB, a JD from Southwestern University, and currently serves on the boards of Xosphere, PowerUser, Oewaves, Innovate Pasadena and STEAM:CODERS
Miki Reynolds is the Executive Director of Grid110, an early stage startup accelerator and community development non-profit she co-founded in 2014. She has 15 years of experience working in tech, ranging from digital marketing and creative services to software development and e-commerce. After managing digital projects at global entertainment corporations like MGM Studios and 20th Century Fox, and heading up operations/product for a software development startup, she launched the Downtown LA location for tech education company General Assembly. Miki’s current role at Grid110 focuses on activating the startup ecosystem in Downtown Los Angeles, fostering community, and connecting the dots for entrepreneurs through access to mentoring and critical resources.
Jonathan Wallace joined Expert Dojo upon its inception as an investment analyst. Over the course of the next 3 years he established relationships with some of the largest venture capital funds in the world and helped dozens of startups raise investment. Jonathan is now the investment director for Expert Dojo and oversees all follow on investments.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR: Alex Bruno is the founder of Bruno Group Inc., a law firm that helps entrepreneurs and business owners in their growth by taking care of their legal needs from startup to exit. Alex has been in practice for over 19 years, having previously worked for a national Am Law 100 law firm representing companies in their corporate, business and liability matters. Alex is also the incoming Chair for the Board of Directors of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, and is also a dedicated Glendale Tech Week planning committee member.
