• Talk Travel - Ecuador, Galapagos, Colombia

    Fika

    $4.00

Is Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, or Colombia on your bucket list? They are on mine. That is why this month, at our Talk Travel meetup, we will have travelers that have been to these exotic South American countries come share their experiences. From llama encounters to colonial towns, find out what people love about this region of the world. This is a free event, however, we ask those attending to donate $3 - $5 to cover meetup costs and to buy the speakers a drink. We have reserved all of Fika Restaurant. Please support the venue, by ordering food and/or drink at the event. This is a small venue, and the line to order can get long, so please allow time for that. Parking in the area is free but limited. ONLY RSVP IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND. In order to partner with our venue, it is important that we have an accurate headcount. If your plans change after signing up - go to Meetup.com and switch your RSVP. Talk Travels are often super popular and get wait-lists. So no showing is tough on other travelers, the speakers, and the venue. Please be considerate and honor your RSVP. Our Speakers: Caitlin Murray, is the owner of Purposeful Nomad, a tour company that pushes beyond the tourist facade to provide authentic experiences that not only gives travelers an adventure of a lifetime, but also provides an opportunity to explore in a way that empowers local communities. Caitlin lives in Portland, but regularly travels to exotic destinations around the world, including Ecuador a country she has a special fondness for. Other travelers that have been to Colombia, Galapagos, and Ecuador will also be there to share stories and tips. Meetup Hosts: Shyla and Dan Bare started this meetup group to hang-out with other travelers and to share the travel tips they learned while doing a seven-year trip around the world. They are also co-founders of Wild Spirit Travel (www.WildSpiritTravel.com) and have co-authored the best selling travel tips book on Amazon called the Before You Go Abroad Handbook (https://www.amazon.com/Before-You-Abroad-Handbook-International/dp/1537322346).
