Its a chance for me to listen and observe and report back to my cosmic friends up in the skies about whats going on in pee-pol, minds and in westminster and on the subject of promisory notes called fiat cash that all of us look forward in earning within a worldwide basic income and hopefully without having to paying any TAX to the debt collecting agency called INLAND REVENUE. and also helping to promote N.E.S.A.R.A.

A wonderful and NON ephemeral 'concept', in its infancy (in relative terms), and one which, I have NO doubt, and one day soon, will SOAR like the unrelenting/everlasting TRUTHS of Gandhi or Confucius or Kierkegaard or Nietzsche or Blake or Tagore or Jung! In the meantime ENJOY the 'bargain basement' (in terms of financial cost) 'thrill' of YOUR lifetime. (And yes, I do 'get out', and MUCH more than you might imagine !) X

  • GlobalNet21: Recreating Our Futures

Dream on. This and similar forums have two options for effecting change, slim and none at all. And Slim just left town! If this sounds provocative it's entirely intentional. If this topic is of so much importance to so many people how come that I, who have lived outside the UK for over twenty years, a lone commentator seem more concerned that the rest of you?

I'm agree with the motto of the group. The group should come forward to make scope for the people of third word countries like me. It should also provide opportunity to take part in the workshop/seminar/conference by allowing financial help who could able to say something about the human rights and the social progress. On the other contrary,it is lovely really to be similarly minded people in the company. If I get allowance and specific topic I can try to write up an article to submit in the next annual meeting with attending in the meeting. Is it possible to give the chance to do the do so. Thanks to all and regards. M Noor

  • GlobalNet21: Recreating Our Futures

I loved this group, and if everyone was like this group, we wouldn't have any conflict. But they're not. I think the session was very worthwhile, and I'll certainly come to the next one, but I fear that we are preaching to the converted. That's always the problem: the people who come to meetings to be enlightened are already enlightened. That's why they come to the meeting. So I guess my main interest - and it was touched on in the final session - is how do we get the word out, and speak to the people who are NOT converted? So many good things were said - like commonality, sharing, making connections, listening, empathy, understanding and much more - but are the people who need to listen actually listening? And how can we make our voice heard?

I was intrigued by the title - the marginalisation of the white working class. My background is somewhat varied. I would call myself a philosopher and I am a member of Greenpeace and a former member of the Green party and a present member of the Labour party, trained as a psychiatric nurse and worked in mental health for a number of years. So I have quite a few different spectacles to wear. The discussion I found equally multidimensional. Issues of education, deprivation, moved imperceptibly into issues of marginalization as a social and political process. This led to perhaps a breadth and perhaps a sense of talking by each other. It was difficult to get a grip on the variety of approaches (and beliefs). I found it personally useful as I am writing on the notion of the "One Society" from a philosophical perspective.
