Can You Tell us How You Found us and What Your Interests Are.

Creative Facilitator, Capacity Builder ... Worked in conflict resolution, education, sustainability, care and capacity building with at risk groups of all ages and abilities. Worked and done applied research on projects in UK, Greece, Germany, Israel and Palestinian Territories, South Africa, Portugal since 2001. MA in Human Security (Coventry University) BA in Theater Studies 2.1 (De Montfort University) courses and certificates in NLP, dance, permaculture, puppetry, organic horticulture, spoken poetry, health and safety in catering, first aid and other things that expand me. Love the sea, travel, music, single malt, animals, children, reading, writing, dance and being with those who wish to weave new and renewed stories for our futures.

Can you tell us what sort of meetings would interest you.

Open discussions and trans-sector forums interest me, where there is the cross-pollination of ideas needed to drive sustainability, human needs, rights and empowerment into the fabric of governance, enterprise and civil society. Einstein tells us we cannot see our way out of a problem with the same kind of thinking that manifested it. I am open to seeing different ways of thinking, engagement, process and collaboration. Education, Climate Change, Conflict Resolution, Social Enterprise, Human Security, Human Rights, Capacity Building, Empowerment and Human Agency, Interfaith, Creative Facilitation, Think Tanks and Applied Research, Paradigm Shifting, Cooperate Citizenship and SMSE ... my interests and expertise are on the bridge between these interconnecting issues, or as a mirror reflecting.

Are you interested in helping by being a speaker, a chairperson or a facilitator of some of our meetings or webinars ?

Yes, please see below. I have years of creative facilitation experience, which may be useful and a recent masters in Human Security (a combination of conflict prevention and resolution, capacity building, human development that places humans not states at the center of the quest for security and flourishing). Study included applied research in South Africa, Eden Project, Cornwall, UK and, off my own back to Portugal where i studied permaculture in an area becoming desert, then Israel and Palestinian Territories on which I focused my thesis 'Human Security and Sustainability in Israel and Palestinian Territories', looking at the trans-border environmental issues as well as role of business, regional and international governance structures and the inter-border conflicts and coalitions within and between borders, ethnic, political and religious groups. The landscape is more complex than most sensationalist reports depict, the precedent for peace as deep as the precedent for war.

We have now started to hold House Meetings. Would you be willing to host a house meeting yourself and what topic would you be interested in discussing at such a meeting?

I would be more than happy to host a small meeting but live in Nottingham, so am a little isolated when at home. I would also be happy to provide a topic / add to a topic at another person's home if anyone wishes to host but feels they would benefit from extra help. Topics of particular interest I would like to open up more include: - Integrative Human Security - a trans-sector move away from military security bias? - Creative Facilitation - how can we aid ourselves and others via collaborative, inclusive exploration and envisioning? - Re-measuring our lives - examining the weak points in measurements such as GDP a single (solely economic) bottom line thinking, looking at inspiring economists, writers, thinkers and ourselves and others' experience to re-evaluate worth and look at some more workable, sustainable criteria for calculating value and prosperity. This needs to be open discussion after introduction of key texts and ideas.

Are there any other ways you could they help us develop the 21st Century Network idea?

I am more than happy to give information / inspiration on human security paradigm to anyone interested. It is relevant to all sectors because it is a trans-sector way of seeing security focused on human need and flourishing rather than placing state and military security as focus. I would be happy to give / help give a discussion on this and therefore help us open up to further collaborations and ideas. I am also happy to give some creative facilitation workshops that can be useful for connecting, mediation, empowerment and learning / envisioning outside the box. This way of working enables us to see with 'other eyes' in a safe, open and collaborative space that welcomes different ideas, investigation and expertise. We can see with more vision and hope, plan and act with more courage and focus when we explore creatively. Also, if GlobalNet21 is not already,, network might be worthwhile connecting to.

What Antonia Z. is saying about this Meetup Group

As I am not at present London based, it provides a good link and point of reference to much that is happening. It is perhaps frustrating not to be able to come to many meetings. Twub meetings are a little terrifying for the technically adrift but this is another avenue I am happy GlobalNet21 has expanded into. Very glad such a proactive organisation exists!
