10 AM - Addressing Toxicity Issues in the American Diet
Gluten-free/dairy-free coach, Kim Rice will do a presentation on the current American diet, other toxicity issues that affect us and what to do about them. She will talk about the dietary changes she made for herself and her son to optimize their health. Kim will demonstrate a smoothie recipe as well. www.gfcfcoaching.com/
Kim followed a GFCF (Gluten Free/Dairy Free) diet since 2008 and she transitioned her son, who is on the autism spectrum, in 2009. It has changed their lives. As a result, Kim lost 50 Pounds and Sammy may soon loose his autism diagnosis.

When your GF/DF bread recipe may not to hit the mark for taste, texture or flavor, what can you do? Ask Jeffrey Larsen who is a San Francisco food stylist and recipe developer. He really thinks outside the bread box when it comes to creative baking. He can infuse a complex symphony of flavors into that loaf of bread and teach you how. 2 PM - Common Nutrient Deficiencies in Celiacs: Anemia
Nutrition consultant, Marlese Carroll will speak on health topics for mom. She will focus on anemia in individuals with celiac disease, and also discuss the importance of probiotics and enzymes in our diet. What do these foods/supplements do for the body? How and when should you take them? She will explain which foods support maximum absorption of nutrients.
3:30 PM - Pure Pantry Family Baking Session
The whole family is invited for a baking session with Margaret Heafey of the Pure Pantry. She will bring perfect dessert ideas for graduation and summer parties. (children must be accompanied by an adult).
