When did you learn about Go?

About a year ago, I used to be really into python programming but thought that python was too slow for what I then needed to do. (sdl/opengl graphical programming). I fell in love with the simplicity of the golang syntax combined with it's speed and power.

When did you write your first Go program?

About a year ago as well. A friend of mine wanted to set up a video streaming site so that he could watch his movies at uni without taking up discspace. :-) So I jumped on it and tried it out. :-) Needless to say, with the changes to the template function I probably should have wanted. But I learned a lot and had much fun. :-)

Have you worked professionally with Go?

Semiproffessional? I have used golang while on assignments and on-off jobs for the uni. I also use it when I'm developing for the computer Society.

What is the best thing with Go?

I would say the syntax. I love the simplicity of it. How much information can be gathered from just the function header. Reading code is so painless in comparison to other languages.
