Stage two of the Tour d' Carts: another gut check this time on an international scale.

Stage 2 starts and finishes at a la Carts, probably one of the best kept cart pod secrets in Portland. Its central tent and kids play area makes it one of the most customer friendly pods in PDX. Riders will be faced with a daunting array of offerings including Vietnamese, Thai, Turkish, Korean and Venezuelan food. This ride isn't for the gastronomically timid. Are you up for the challenge?

Attitude: Very E-Z and sociable. (Don't worry, Hammerheads, we'll have plenty of hard rides on the schedule. This just isn't one of them)

Pace: ~11-13 mph

Start Time: Meet and greet at 10:00 AM. We leave at 10:15 AM sharp so please plan accordingly. We honor those who arrange their schedule to be on time.

Distance: 20 flat, flat miles.

Route: Link to Route Map: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/4302238 Please print your own map if you need one.

Hills: None to speak of. (Total elevation <550ft in 20 miles. That includes speed bumps).

Attitude: Slow and sociable. We have no breaks planned, though we'll have a "rest break" if needed. No one gets dropped.

Bring money if you plan to indulge at GFH when we finish. But I'll buy your lunch if you can tap dance in your cycling cleats like this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF3KOLS9qLg (no high heels required on this dance);

Traffic: Be comfortable riding around and in traffic. We'll be using bike friendly roads and trails through out the city. There will be traffic. When riding in a group please don't follow to closely and check for traffic at each intersection for yourself.

RSVP Management: If you are planning to ride and then can't for some reason please change your RSVP so that others may join in.

Ride Leader: Ed Lanton[masked]; [masked]. Please call or email with any questions.

Weather Cancellation Policy: We ride in rain showers but brutal cold (below 30), soupy fog or sideways rain will cancel.

Required Gear: Helmets must be worn at all times while riding. This is a requirement and not a request.

Recommended Gear: Always bring plenty of water, snacks for energy, a flat repair kit, including a spare tube. A tool kit and small pump is good, but if you don’t have one there is usually someone on a group ride who does. Carry a credit card and a little cash to buy refreshments.

Mandatory for all riders.

Obey traffic laws and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community and should conduct yourself that way on the road. Please represent us well.

All riders must have their rides in good working order and should bring a flat kit & spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment you may be asked to sit the ride out. Please ask for help if you are ill equipped prior to the ride. We will try to help!

All riders must be able to change a flat should they have one or have a way to get picked up (AAA, a friend…). There is often but not always someone on the ride who knows how to help you change your tire so plan accordingly.

Note: Your RSVP signifies that you agree to the following. Organizers, event hosts and other participants will not be held responsible for any individual at any event. Each rider rides at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.

Final Note: RSVP’s cannot include a +1 or Guest. If you choose to bring a friend or family member, they themselves must sign up as a member of NumBumz.
