Join Go WOW Team’s Coach Stephanie Atwood and train for a marathon or half marathon – WALKING!
What: Learn how to walk and practice walking 26.2 miles or 13.1 miles
Training Continues: Saturdays through March 24, 2013
Event: The Oakland Run Fest Marathon and Half Marathon on March 24, 2013
Why: Because you will get strong, have fun, make new friends and learn how to train right with one of the most experienced running coaches in the country.
Where: Every other Saturday at Lake Merritt with Christy G. Various locations with Coach Stephanie
Training will continue each week. Learn what it takes to effectively train for a marathon or half marathon – WALKING! Find your true “athlete within”. Whether this is a bucket list item, or the beginning of a lifestyle change where movement becomes a regular part of your life, come walk with WOW!
Cost: $129* (WOW Team subscription required, women only). Drop-in visits are also possible. Your first visit is always free.

Jan 2013 Making great progress! Half marathoners can plan on less distance as we use Lake Merritt for our main training walks on alternate weekends so you can jump off as needed on any circuit.
Coach Stephanie, M.A. is an award winning Coach and Masters Runner. She has more than 3 decades of experience. With certifications from USATF Coaching Level 2, RRCA Long Distance Running, Sports Nutrition, NASM Personal Training, and more, she is a top notch professional coach who believes that everyone deserves an opportunity to train well and succeed in finding their best.
