It's time for Golang Barcelona November meetup!
This month we will meet at open space of Magento office to talk about Go and have some snacks and drinks. We are planning to do two talks and then run an open format discussion around HTTP handlers. It should be fun, so do stop by. Thanks!
The talks are:
1. Embedding in Go - Sergey Kolodyazhnyy
Embedding often brings a lot of confusing among developers. Some would say it's a clumsy way to make inheritance, somebody says it's all about composition. In this talk I will try to explain what Embedding is, how it works and show some examples of how Embedding can help you structure your code. So, hopefully after this talk you will get one more tool in your Go toolset.
2. Ways to do things - Gonzalo Serrano
We will talk about the different approaches from this talk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHe1Cb_Ud_M) and also how does Erlang and its "let it crash philosophy" manages actors (gen_servers) supervision. If I have to to implement it, showcase a package doing an erlang-style supervision in go.
3. Títle - KrakenD: Building the fastest API gateway with Go.
KrakenD is an open source API gateway coded in Go. In this presentation we will dive in the architecture that made of KrakenD the fastest API gateway in the market.
We are looking for speakers! If you learnt or did something useful, interesting or exciting, you should share it! It does not have to be big, it does not have to be mind blowing, it does not have to be long. Send us an email at [masked] with your idea or proposal and become next speaker at Golang Meetup.
