Chris and Jim Guld, aka Geeks on Tour, join us to demystify your Tablets and Smart Phones, both Android and iOS. We had a full house when they spoke at last year’s General Meeting, and you won’t want to miss their return engagement.
The Gulds will explain what these devices are/do, discuss features important in using them, and give you their short list of must-have Apps, as well as showing you some basic ways to customize your phone or tablet, security and backups, and how to decide whether you need both a smart phone and a tablet or just one or the other. Bring your Tablet and/or Smart Phone so you can follow along on your own device. Look for us in the Napa Room. Admission is free.
Preceeding this meeting is an Introduction to Computers Class from 6:00 pm - 7:00 p.m. (same room and also free).
For people wanting hands-on basic training, GGCS is also offering two special classes, one on Android smart phones and tablets, the other on Apple iPhones and iPads. Each is 3 hours long, has a maximum of 20 people, requires advance reservations and costs $45. Contact Babette Bloch at (415) 388-3864 or email email@example.com. These classes are separately announced on Meetup.
