Announcing a new Meetup for Good Deeds Society!

What: Help us Stock the Shelves at the Sabathani Community Center! (Minneapolis)

When: Saturday, August 7,[masked]:00 AM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

The Sabathani Community Center in Minneapolis meets many community needs through its Basic Needs department, which marshals food and other resources for low-income community members. Through the Stock the Shelves project, HandsOn Twin Cities volunteers assist Sabathani in providing this vital service. By sorting, organizing, and stocking shelves with donations of food, school supplies and other essential items, volunteers leave Sabathani staff free to focus on making sure these resources are efficiently distributed to those who need them the most.

The fist Saturday morning of each month, volunteers are needed to help bring order to the donation warehouse. Join us for this energetic, high impact project! Come once to see what you think, or make plans to visit every month!

This project is open to volunteers 18 years of age or older.

For more information about this project contact Sam Tracy at[masked] ext. 22 or [address removed].

This project is made possible through funding from Greater Twin Cities United Way and has been offered to a select group of their community partner agencies.

Impact Now provides a flexible and easy way to volunteer. The program offers a variety of projects each month that require no long-term commitment, allowing people to try different volunteer options that fit their schedule. Each project is led by a HandsOn Twin Cities Project Coordinator and provides an opportunity to meet others who want to make a difference. Whether it's playing Bingo with nursing home residents, sorting medical supplies shipped to third world countries or serving a meal in a homeless shelter, the Impact Now program offers many ways to "Be the Change."
