What are some of your favorite groups to listen to and or play?

A difficult question as my tastes run somewhat eclectic and would include rock, pop, new wave/punk, old school R&B, funk, blues & jazz. Just a small sampling of what's been in the CD, iTunes & YouTube of recent (the vinyl rarely gets pulled out anymore): Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Marshall Crenshaw, Lyle Lovett, Joan Osborne, The Thorns, Style Council (Paul Weller), Elvis Costello, Robben Ford, REM, Crowded House, Chris Cain, The Decemberists, Chet Baker, Freedy Johnston, John Hiatt, Springsteen, Little Walter, Matthew Sweet, Paul DeLay, Steely Dan, The Iguanas, The Subdudes, Joe Pass, Jimmy Smith, Brian Auger, The Clash, etc., etc., etc...

Do you sing or prefer not to?

Whether anyone else prefers me to sing is the better question (probably not...)

If you could learn to play one song, what would it be?

Just one? Maybe a full jazz version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' on 6 string.

If you play guitar, how long have you been playing?

Guitar: 49 years Bass: 47 years

Greetings! Known in NY/NJ electric blues community, I dabble in the acoustic realm as well. Main projects have included VSB, Marian & the Marianettes, CCSU, Rough & Ready and the Shades. Bass is primary but my acoustic makes its way out on occasion.
