Come meet Jan Steemann from ArangoDB as he joins us to talk about multi-model databases, and ArangoDB specifically.

How many times did you think "I could solve this so nicely if only my database would support X?" If you really needed this specific capability you might have introduced an additional database to your tech stack or invested a lot into a workaround – including all the headache and additional effort.

In this session, Jan Steemann, core member of the ArangoDB project, will introduce you to the idea of native multi-model databases and how this approach can provide much more flexibility for developers, software architects & data scientists.

About Jan
After more than 30 years of playing around with 8 bit computers, assembler and scripting languages, Jan decided to move on to work in database engineering. Jan is now a senior C/C++ developer with the ArangoDB core team, being there from version 0.1. He is mostly working on performance optimization, storage engines and the querying functionality.
