Join us for the best pickup soccer in the heart of Lincoln Park. This well-organized event will rotate 3 teams through a fast paced format. Sign up by yourself or with friends. You'll get a ton of playing time in a fun, yet competitive afternoon of soccer. Our host will check players in, divide players into teams, and make sure that everything runs smoothly. All you have to do is show up ready to play!

Format: Depending on the turnout, the host will determine if we play a 2-team game or break into 3 or 4 teams for a tournament (19 or more attendees needed for a tournament). We are equipped to set up multiple fields on site, and our goal is to maximize playing time for everyone. Teams will have no more than 1 sub for the tournament format. Everyone is guaranteed a minimum of an hour of actual playing time - but usually gets more (up to the full 2 hours). The host will set up goals and cones for the fields. Pinnies will be provided to differentiate the teams. Champions will have their picture taken and added to our photo gallery of tournament winners!

What to Wear/Bring
We are playing outdoors on a synthetic turf field. You may wear cleats, turf shoes, or gym shoes. Shin guards are highly recommended but not required. Bring a white shirt and a black shirt in case pinnies are not available. Bring a water bottle.

What to Expect
Show up early! The games will begin at the time posted for this event. Players may start checking in with the event host as early as 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. If the field is available, you may begin warming up before the event begins. We will provide a game ball.

Level of Play
This event is open to all levels of play. We do our best to create even teams so that games are well-matched. There are no referees, so players need to play with sportsmanship and call their own fouls. Please comply with any requests or instruction made by the host to ensure a quality and enjoyable event for everyone. Fighting or abusive language will result in removal from the game without refund.

Facility Information
Lincoln Park South Turf is a high-quality full-size artificial turf field. Located near Lake Shore Drive - North of LaSalle and just south of Lincoln Park Zoo. A great field to get to from the Lake Front Bike Path.

Parking
Free street parking available on Stockton - though it may be tough to find. Paid parking is available in the zoo lot ($$). Paid street parking is available on Clark ($). We recommend public transit or bicycle when possible.

Minimum number of players
This event needs a minimum of 12 people (not including the host) signed up 2 hours before the start of the event in order to run. An email notification will be sent if we cancel and this event will show up as canceled on our meetup. Sign up early to encourage more people to sign up!!

Do Your Part! Help us keep an accurate guest count!
If you RSVP, we are counting on you to be there and we will plan accordingly. If you change your mind about playing or your guest count changes, please update your RSVP. No-Shows will be marked on your account. Repeat offenders may be dismissed from the group.

Refunds will be issued if the event is canceled due to weather or other circumstances.

Requirement to play
This is an adult soccer group. You must be 19 older. Males and females of all skill levels are welcome to play. There is no gender-ratio requirement (teams may consist of all males)

Your payment helps to cover the permit for the field, equipment, the hourly pay for your event host and ensures a well-organized event.
