Summer's over, time to start up the Group once more! .... any volunteers?

Hi All,

We took a bit of a break over August, as I figured people might be on vacation or whatnot, but now it's time to start the Grails Meetups back up.

However, I don't have anything lined up... so, I need your help.

Would any of you mind volunteering to give a presentation? Any (Grails / Groovy related) topics that interest you are welcome; odds are, they'd interest us as well. Product / work demonstrations are always a good time as well (it's great to see what others are up to!). It doesn't need to be a full hour, either. Typically, our speaking formats fit one of the following:

  • 1 speaker for 1+ hour
  • 2 speakers / topics for 20-30 minutes
  • 3+ 'lightning talks' for 15-20 minutes

Take a look at for some topics that users have suggested. Please feel free to suggest others or volunteer to present some!

In addition, we're trying to get a Grails-centric 'Hackathon' type event together sometime in the future; news on that to come.
