GraphQL Execution Strategies - Andi Marek TypeScript and GraphQL Working in Harmony - James Sadler Andi is fresh back from GraphQL Conf in Berlin and is reprising his talk for us. Do you want to really understand how a query is executed or how to deal with the N+1 problem? Join us for a deep dive into the world of GraphQL execution strategies: we will look at how the specification defines GraphQL execution, how to handle the N+1 problem and which alternative execution strategies exists. James will be showing how best to use TypeScript with GraphQL and avoid the traps of type proliferation. He'll cover the basics of TypeScript's type system, and look at how it can help you can get better type safety and IDE support across your servers and clients. The next meetup is 2 months away. Hassle-free GraphQL with Hasura - Louis Rudner Live queries in GraphQL - Mikhail Asavkin Louis will talk us through one of the popular GraphQL Backends-as-a-Service Hasura (others are AppSync and Prisma). Showing us how to take advantage of what it brings to the table. Mikhail will build the backend and a simple frontend app that takes advantage of a real-time GraphQL API and explore common architectural mistakes we'd like to avoid.
