This scenic gem on the shore of Lake Michigan offers a peaceful getaway with wooded campsites and 2.5 miles of sandy beaches. Kohler-Andrae State Park in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is the home of majestic sand dunes, miles of golden beach, shimmering blue Lake Michigan water, whispering pines, an abundance of wildlife, and recreational activities for everyone. Kohler-Andrae State Park is one of the last natural preserves along the Lake Michigan shore, and is open for everyone to explore and enjoy. Sites are located within a highly sensitive natural area at the back of the sand dunes. Site terrain is sandy. Hiking trail and beach are nearby. Vault toilets are adjacent to the site area. Water is available at the park office. Showers and flush toilets are available in the nearby family campground.

Kohler-Andrae State Park is located 3 miles east of I-43, on the shores of Lake Michigan, just south of the city of Sheboygan. The park is approximately 1 hour from Milwaukee, and 3 hours from Chicago. Use I-43 Exit 120. Travel east on County Trunk V into the park.

This trip is planned for two nights: Friday, August 17 Saturday, August 18 I have reserved both group campsites to accommodate a larger group this year. This reservation is for 30 people and is a pre-pay event using Paypal.

The cost per person for this event will be $28. Your fee includes:

- Group site fees

- Dinner on Friday and Saturday nights

- Breakfast for Saturday and Sunday mornings

- Firewood for the weekend

- Paypal fees

Cancellation Policy:

This event is pre-pay in order for you to RSVP YES. If your plans change and you must cancel, you must request a refund NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, August 10 AT 7:00 PM to receive a full refund. If you cancel after this time or are a no-show, you will lose your entire payment. This group camps rain or shine so weather is not considered grounds for a refund. [i]Please note that the automatic Waitlist does not work for pre-pay events, so please just RSVP “No” and put the date and time you left the RSVP in the "comments".

Food Arrangements:

Everyone should bring their own food for all lunches. Dinner on Friday and Saturday is included in your fee and will be something along the lines of hot dogs or brats for Friday night and grilled burgers for Saturday night. Breakfast will include pancakes and sausage. We will take volunteers to help prepare the meals and split all food prep, cooking, and cleaning responsibilities. Although it is not required, if you are planning to bring something to share with the group, you may indicate this in your RSVP to minimize duplication. ALL beverages - alcohol and non-alcohol - are BYOB.

In keeping with our new environmentally responsible policy, all campers are responsible for their own mess kit – including napkins. These items will no longer be provided by the group. A wash-line and sanitation station will be set up after breakfast and dinner for campers use.

Parking and Wisconsin State Park Vehicle Permits:

We can have only 10 cars at this group site. I highly suggest carpooling, although there is nearby overflow parking. If you are willing to carpool, please use the "comment" field in the RSVP and indicate where you are leaving from and how many you can take along in your car. In addition, individual cars also need a Wisconsin State Park Vehicle Sticker that can be purchased at the park ($10 a night or $35 per year, your choice).

- We can have as many as 30 tents at the site.

- We have to be out by 3:00pm on Sunday, August 19.

In addition, please note the following:

1) Feel free to bring a kayak or canoe as our site is near the lake and affords a prime opportunity for water sports.

2) This is an adult only event. Please, no children under 18.

I will be emailing final details about the group site and finalized dinner menu options the Monday before the event. In the meantime, please feel free to e-mail any of the organizers with any questions.
