Thank you Dave and everyone who presented, it was informative and very helpful. Because of this talk I am researching a couple different ways of using custom annotations in the manner presented last night - it looks like a cleaner method than the one I developed and it opened up other possibilities I had been noodling on for a bit now.

I will post my presentation in a bit when I get it converted to a simpler format and remove the company specific information.

For now, a couple links to resources:

FlashSelenium: Wraps Selenium and generates custom javascript:

      https://code.google.co...

FlexUISelenium: Provides action script application code and some client example code.

      https://code.google.co...

The latter project wraps the former.

Example of the action script application code:
      https://code.google.co...

What we did at Humedica was to create new client code in the project with an interface that mirrored those exposed application methods, so we never had to custom write a call. (similar to the way "isChecked" was done here: https://code.google.co...) We then created a whole component abstraction layer on top of that - dropdowns, textboxes, data grids, etc...

I was very impressed with the caliber of information presented and the sharing of how these approaches are used on projects. We had a good blend of beginner, intermediate, and expert (~1/3 each) in attendance. The questions were insightful and added to the value of the talks.

    Hi everyone!

Thanks for the interesting presentations which gave me much to think about; I have a lot to look forward to following up on tomorrow.

    Helpful reference:
I heard some attendees inquire about useful resources and I can contribute one. Follow this link to download very handy and helpful locator tables. Just double click on the "rosetta stone" graphics and you will be able to download them from there. I and others have found this reference very helpful.
