So happy that the new Slow Foodie had a chance to get acquainted with Slow Money. Of course Slow Food endorses investment of our hard earned dollar into our local food supply. Loved the chat about "investing" with your funds already designated as part of your personal budget. Today, an increasing percentage of our income is designated to purchase food to nourish ourselves and our families. Every dollar spent with a merchant who exhibits responsibility to sourcing foods locally has the classic "tickle down" effect within our local economy. Every time we drop a few hundred dollars a week buying groceries from a local merchant this becomes thousands of dollars in our economy. Investors who have a few bucks more can help make a difference in their own community by investing with a local business.
