Parparedness Workshop (Via the Liberty Campaign)

  • May 31, 2009 · 1:00 PM

The Boulder Campaign for Liberty has asked if any of our members would like to attend one of their meetups. The details are below and ten of our members can RSVP from here on the Urban Homesteading Meetup Group website. This is a largely Libertarian group that was, I think, originally created to help get Ron Paul elected. Our general policy with the Homesteading group is "No Politics and No Religion" because I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable and that nobody is left out. But the Campaign for Liberty Group, which many of our members are already part of, has a lot of great meetup events where we can all learn a thing or two about self-reliance and emergency preparedness.

Long story short, here are the details...

This one-of-a-kind workshop will feature hands-on presentations by many in our group covering many basic but long-forgotten skills of generations gone by.

Come and learn about growing and preserving food, composting, keeping chickens, making effective natural remedies, solar cooking and wine making.

If you have something you'd like to share, please contact Israel Anderson (720)[masked] so he can schedule you in.

We have never done anything like this but we expect a lot of people to come, so come along, you'll learn something new for sure.

We are going to share an early dinner together, so please bring a dish. We expect to run from 1pm through 6pm.

A lot of good information, ideas, and opinions. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and getting a chance to talk and share ideas.

Sorry about not having the location up. I didn't get the email with the location until yesterday and I haven't been on the computer since Thursday. Next time I'll make sure not to post the event until I'm given a definite location.

Sorry I missed this. I started tearing apart my front yard on Thursday and have been going sunup to sundown on it ever since. Almost finished!
