Learn It, Do It, Be Food Secure
Our next Educational Potluck will be August 9th at 6:00 PM at Waste Farmers wastefarmers.com (at Timberline Gardens 11700 W 58th Ave Arvada CO) David Braden of the Living Systems Institute http://livingsystemsinst.org will share his knowledge. Have you ever wished you could live more sustainably? David Braden has been building gardens and community to "be the change". He is the organizer for the Greater Denver Urban Homesteading Meet Up Group. David's message is that, you do not need to move to the country . . . you do not have to give up your day job. At this presentation David will give you a conceptual framework and practical tips for reducing your cost of living, improving your quality of life and living harmoniously with nature's processes. By understanding the way nature wants to do things you can have No Weed, No Water, No Till, No Pest gardens. You can have food production systems that supply protein and fresh vegetables year round with no more attention than you would give your dog, your fish tank and your house plants. Mother Earth will do most of the work, if you let Her, and you can still do anything else you want. Living more sustainably only requires the investment of some part of your discretionary time and money. These potlucks are cost & waste free, so please bring your own plate, utensils, cup, etc. Please bring food to share. Come to enjoy the food & connect with fellow Earth beings.
“The world we experience is built up from individual interactions. If you want to change the world, change the way you interact. No one else will do it for you. The world changes when we change how we do things.”
