Introduction to Permaculture

New to permaculture? One definition is: a revolutionary design science that applies nature’s patterns and relationships to human life. I'd love to get a group together to share skills and talk about topics ranging from edible forest gardening and fermentation to natural building and water conservation. The GrowHaus, located at 47th & York St. in Denver, has offered to host a meetup at pretty much any time. Any feedback on timing is much appreciated - I'm hoping to get together later this month, perhaps in the last two weeks of August??

Ainslie, thanks for a great informative meeting. I posted the pic of the whiteboard to this meet up.

It really gave me a better understanding of what permaculture is and I was glad we got into specifics. I like using the format of asking what we all wanted to talk about and then steering conversation in those directions.

The meeting is free of cost, but it would be much appreciated if those attending could bring some small snacks to share with the group! We are really looking forward to this - see y'all soon, and don't hesitate to post any further questions. :)

I'm really sorry I'm going to miss this. I'm just not going to be able to get back into town quickly enough. Should be a really good meetup, though.

I have a commitment during the day, it would have to be in the evening for me.

Howdy! How does this Sunday evening, September 23rd, work for everyone? If I get a positive response we will go ahead and set up the meetup!

I love this topic. I learned last year from David Braden with Applewood Permaculture Institute. The best time for me would be Saturday morning or Sunday evening.... I hope I don't get double or triple booked when it happens. I intend to turn my whole front yard into a permaculture garden (I only did a small section this year and it did well).

This sounds great! Sundays are usually pretty good for this kind of thing.
