CHICKS IN THE CITY (Denver poultry permit)?

Denver, CO

Yeah, we got our letter from animal control today saying they won't oppose us keeping 8 hens. That was less than one week!

New update on Denver chicken permit. I applied for my zoning change Monday and took away a couple more "aha's."

Make sure to bring your chicken letter from Animal Control! You'll also need ANOTHER letter with most of the information submitted to animal control along with some other things AND a site plan of where your coop will be located on the property. Note, you must show setbacks and distances from the edges of the property along with the distance from any habitable structures which must be greater than 20'.

The Zoning inspector asked about our letters of support though it isn't required unless you know you'll have objections.

We have the bright pink sign on our house for 10 days and then have 20 more days of comments before the decision is made. Stay tuned!
