What we're about

AIKIDO is a non-aggressive, traditional Japanese Martial Art that focuses on redirecting the opponent's energy. Training focuses on multiple areas of practice: rolling, falling, throwing techniques and pinning techniques, as well as Aikido weapons: Jo (wooden short staff) and Bokken (wooden sword). We meet up for group training at Gier Community Center every week on Tues/Thur evenings from 7-9pm in room 210.

Gier Community Center is located at: 2400 Hall Street, Lansing, MI, 48906 USA

We host an Introductory Beginner's Class twice per month during the Thursday evening training sessions.

Instructor: Jeremy M.L. Hix is a certified Instructor of Aikikai Aikido through the Aikido World Alliance (AWA).
