Needs a location
Every Friday during the Summer, the Lambertville-New Hope borough commissions sponsor a terrific fireworks display over the river at the bridge. This Friday (30th), it'll kick off w/ great music by Rocky and his Friends on the Lambertville side just before the fireworks display.
As a final kick-arse bonus, since this is the last fireworks show of the season - and a fair amount of shows have been rained out this year - they'll be throwing in all the extra firepower that may not have been used during the season. So, it promises to be a great fireworks display.
'Rocky and his Friends' is a kickin' classic rock/bluesy band that's evolved over the years playing classic rock and blues from Central Jersey to the L.V. and the river communities since the early 80s. Everything from Stones, Elvis Costello, Buffalo Springfield, Eagles and CCR to Cream, Van Morrison, John Mayer, and Ray Charles. Check out their website:
They start at 8pm on the Lambertville side ...in front of the Bank of Princeton, just across from the Lambertville Station House at the end of the bridge by the river. Fireworks start at the end of the show!
This is a 'come as you can' posting; there won't be an official meeting place. It's as-you-come. But, if you're planning on going down, I'd suggest getting there a little early, park on the NJ side, grab a bite, and get a good spot; they usually pack them in for the shows, and it promises to be a busy night!
