OPEN MEETING FOR ALL HUMANIST MEMBERS AND GUESTS. As our vice-chair Guy Otten points out, in the last 10 years Greater Manchester Humanists has achieved much: School speakers, celebrants, chaplains, introductory course, choir, Darwin Days, brunches, book club, socials, stalls, ex-Muslims, SACRE memberships, participation in interfaith events - phew! Is this now a good moment to take stock, and see what might be achieved for the future? With the emergence of populist governments around the world, there is push-back against some of the ideals that we support and hold dear eg LGBT+, the Climate Crisis, Freedom of Speech. Humanism must hold firm. Come along and express your thoughts and ideas for creating lasting change for a better society. David Milne - Chair, Greater Manchester Humanists.
