Our group has been established to foster business development & growth through reading & networking. We're a diverse group of business-minded readers covering a broad range of experience & backgrounds (life & business). Book club members are "solopreneurs", entrepreneurs, students, & small business & corporate employees, etc. with the "common ground" simply being the desire to learn new information applicable toward developing & achieving our best business selves!
We aim to make a difference in our businesses, careers, community, & our lives through integration of what we learn from the books we read & from our resulting group conversations.
We read a business-related, group-selected book over the course of the month & meet to discuss on the last Thursday at 6:00 p.m. The discussions can be lively, so keep an open mind & sharpen your most constructive conversation skills. Meetings are limited to 10 attendees to keep the conversation most manageable.
Please bring at least one book suggestion to each meeting. Write/print the following on an index card:
• sub-topic (from list below)
We'll randomly draw 3 book suggestion cards at the meeting. Then, a poll will be set up here to choose our next "business book of the month" from those options.
Monthly focus sub-topics:
April: Let's get local: books related to Richmond & Virginia (Civil War's great, but business history, local government, tourism, etc. is ideal!)
