What we're about
Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Toastmaster membership is over 250,000 strong. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 13,000 clubs that make up the global network of meeting locations. Each Toastmasters club provides a safe and supportive environment to practice communication and leadership skills. A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere. There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure. The Greater Susquehanna Valley Toastmasters meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 6:30pm at The Central PA Chamber of Commerce, 30 Lawton Ln, Milton, PA 17847. Anyone is welcome to visit our meetings or to join.
