Classical Revolution: L.A. makes "chamber music cozy comfy in bars, clubs, coffee shops" and more "unexpected hangouts." (L.A. Weekly) Mark Swed of the L.A. Times called it an "addictive new series," that can make chamber music "startlingly subversive."
Dúo del Sol's residency at Classical Revolution: L.A. continues November 16th with guest artists, the Malkin-Trybek Duo. Israeli Mezzo-Soprano Iris Malkin and American Guitarist Edward Trybek have played around SoCal since 2007. They will be performing songs from Spain and Latin America, including Sephardic and Yiddish songs.
Dúo del Sol will be playing newly written songs along with some classics from their critically acclaimed Hello Kaleidoscope album. The CD was called a "beautiful, cinematic...folk, latin, jazz and classical" fusion (Daily Album).
