Why: He was probably the world's greatest violinist and the teacher of other greats. It is at the Colburn School at 8:00 pm Saturday. (There is a 5:00 pm screening that is sold out.) If you get there early, perhaps you can have a tour of his studio.

World premiere of Peter Rosen's new documentary



Jascha Heifetz God's Fiddler







This exciting and insightful new film by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Peter Rosen provides unprecedented access to Heifetz's home movies and interviews with former students, Heifetz biographers, and musicians including Itzhak Perlman and Ivry Gitlis.

Immediately following the screening, join us for an inside look into the making of God's Fiddler, as well as Heifetz himself, by those who knew him and studied his life and accomplishments with a panel discussion featuring the film's maker, Peter Rosen, Heifetz scholars Dario Sarlo and Arthur Vered, former student and creative collaborator Ayke Agus, and others.
