Walking with Plants: Winter Parks and Gardens
Believe or not Winter is the best time to plan your garden! If a garden can look good it January it will more likely look good all year round. Oxford University gardens and parks offer some of the best plants and designs you may find. Whether it be Winter structural interest and colour you are looking for, the Oxford University offers great variety and inspiration at home. Join me for a trip around the city walking through parkland, past stunning landmarks and finishing at the beautiful Magdalen College, for planting ideas and maybe even wildlife in the deer park. Please bring walking shoes, warm jacket, drink and lunch/snacks and local ID if wish to enter colleges for free (£6 otherwise). See you soon. Links:

What we're about

Green Spaces is about enjoying being outdoors. Visit lesser and better known outside places from grand countryside views, urban greenery and buildings reclaimed by nature. All ages, interests and backgrounds. It's not a garden club or guided walking group. It's tapping into our greater need to be in open spaces.

We walk on average five miles or more and when out mountain biking 10-20 miles. Comfortable walking boots are recommended.

There are limited places. Our groups are small because we like to be spontaneous to explore and stop to see whatever we want. Every trip is an adventure! If want to meet like minded people somewhere relaxed or have a passion for plants join Green Spaces.
