Hello everyone,

After the success of last event, I've decided to make the Seed Exchange Night a monthly gathering to happen on the first Thursday of each Month.

This is a social event where you can meet to discuss sowing plants, growing seedlings and exchanges tips (especially on seed saving), encouragements and success but most importantly it is a forum where you can swap organic seeds and have a lot of fun while doing it.

Guidelines:

• Advertise in the comments what seed you're bringing, what seeds you are looking for, what can of plants you want advice on, etc..

• Bring your organic seeds

• Bring containers (like zip bag, envelopes, or paper if you can do origami envelope)

• Bring stickers, labels and pens to write down name, functions and instructions

Don't bring seeds that are not organic

• Don't bring GMO seeds

• Don't bring hybrid seeds unless they have  something interesting about them and someone has shown interest after you advertised them in the comments

• You can bring your culture (cheese, kefir, kombucha) if you've advertised them in the comments and they are interested parties.

It seems I'm early... Or is everyone else busy occupying some part of HK?

Hi Rija, I'd like to try growing something in my balcony but I don't know how to get started. Can I come to get some tips from you guys? Obviously, I have no seeds to share.

I've got a "suggested" meetup that covers just that - in the form of hydroponic growing. A technology that should suit balconies perfectly.

I just got a first set-up running on my roof top with the first seedlings in it. Curious how that's going to work out :)

What's the difference - input wise? AFAIK input for both is basically the same, and as sustainable as you make it.
