Rose: Heals the Heart, Nourishes the Body: NoHo!

Repeated in North Hollywood by popular demand!

Red roses are a plant much loved by so many people, but not often used as medicine, and this is a shame. Ornamental roses (long-stemmed beauties from a flower store) are heavily sprayed and highly toxic and should NEVER be used internally, but organically grown, aromatic red roses are of extraordinary benefit to numerous body systems: Cardiovascular, Digestive, Nervous System, Musculo-Skeletal and more. They are beautiful, delicious, deeply nutritive, and readily available--for many of us, free medicine available year round.

In this class, we'll explore the many ways we use roses (and why my preference is for red over other colors, though your mileage may vary), and we'll experiment with tincture, syrup, infused oil, essential oil, tea, hydrosol, and more (including, quite possibly, rose-infused dark chocolate...).

You'll take home certified organic red roses, a comprehensive monograph on Rosa spp., plus a few other goodies I'm going to save as a surprise. But you'll like them, I promise.

Payment at the store on the day of the class, no Paypal payments, please.

$3 discount for cash payment!

SO SO bummed I missed this - sounds like it was GREAT! I managed to get "an acute head trauma" (bad concussion) whilst gardening the other day (head met sidewalk - sidewalk won) and didn't feel well enough to attend. Next time....

Julie always does an excellent lecture. I learned many ways to extract and use the wonderful things rose has to offer. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
