What type of music do you enjoy playing and/or singing?

Bluegrass (essentially traditional — the music of Jimmy Martin, Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Jim & Jesse, to name some). But I'm not a purist; if a song works, I'll do it. In fact, my style and approach have evolved to a point that would probably make a purist shudder. And my scope is a little broader... I can do some folk or country stuff as long as there aren't too many esoteric chords and weird chord changes.

Do you play an instrument(s), or do you prefer to just sing?

I play my ol' banjo. Prefer to let others do the singing, although occasionally I may join with a little harmony.

I'm a 5-string banjo player (essentially trad bluegrass) in Greenwich. Looking to meet nearby folks who play the other bg instruments for some musical fun. Prefer to jam in a more intimate format: just one of each instrument. j.dunc[at]t
