Introduction to Long Exposures
On September 18, 2018, at Central Chapter in Griffin, GA, Dr. Jimmy Day will talk about using long exposures in photography. The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM at the Women’s Center, Spalding Regional Hospital. Members as well as interested potential members are invited. This meeting is free and open to the public.
Have you ever wondered how photographers achieve those images showing silky waterfalls? Dr. Day will explain the process of using filters, which type filters he uses, and how he sets up his shots to achieve slow shutter speeds necessary for rendering flowing water a silky smooth, and achieving different effects with clouds, regardless to the time of day and amount of light.
Dr. Day is one of the original members of GNPA, and is an accomplished amateur photographer whose photos have won numerous awards in all categories. This is a great opportunity to learn more about a different technique to achieve the results you desire in your photographs.
