Introduction to Adobe Camera RAW
On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Griffin Chapter of Georgia Nature Photographers Association in Griffin, GA, Alicia Pastiran will explain and demonstrate some techniques for post processing images in Adobe Camera RAW. This meeting will be held in Conference Room (#109) of the Spalding Senior Center, Griffin, GA. Members as well as interested potential members are invited. The meeting is free and open to the public.

ACR, or Adobe Camera RAW, is one of the most powerful pieces of software attached to PhotoShop (PS) and can be used as the only tool in post processing, or as a basic set up to PhotoShop. Every RAW photo you bring into PS goes through ACR first. ACR sets the foundation and groundwork for all work done in PS. Therefore, it is important to get things right in ACR so you can get the best image possible from PS. This presentation will be about ACR not LR; however some topics talked about will transfer to LR because they work on the same foundation. Alicia will be showing you the tools available in ACR, both Global and Local, and giving examples of how to use them so you can set yourself up for success when editing your photos. She also will be showing you some “tricks” and shortcuts that can be used and a basic workflow for ACR.

Alicia is an avid amateur nature photographer, and enjoys not only photography, but learning new techniques and tools for post processing images and sharing her expertise with others.
